NBCC Foundation Scholarships


 

New Brunswick Community College Foundation

The New Brunswick Community College Foundation was created in January 2006. It is its own legal entity, separate from government, and registered as a charitable organization.

The Foundation's main objectives are to receive gifts of real and personal property (including money) on behalf of the NBCC, the CCNB and the NBCCD to invest and administer the property received, and to make grants and gifts to the institution (and its students) in support of its programs and activities.

Eligibility

The NBCC Foundation offers scholarships and bursaries to all students admitted on a full-time basis to a New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), a New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) and a Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) regular or contract training program of at least 1 year in duration and who have demonstrated a financial need.

The applicant must be a New Brunswick high school graduate or possess an equivalency and/or be a mature student (21 years or older).

How to Apply

A singe application form should be completed to apply to one or more of the bursaries and scholarships in the Awards List section of the website.  In most cases, only one bursary or scholarship will be awarded per student.

These bursaries and scholarships are only available in the year for which it was granted and they are not renewable.

NBCC Foundation reserves the right to change without prior notice the information in the Awards List.

NBCC Foundation Bursary

Eligibility
Applicants must:

  • Express financial need, regardless of other circumstances
  • Be involved in extra-curricular activities
  • Be involved in community activities or organizations
  • Have experience or implication in the field of study
  • Be accepted into a specific program, or programs

John A. Page ScholarshipEligibility:Applicants must:

  • have a home address in York or Carleton County
  • have high academic marks
  • show community involvement and leadership
  • be a student enrolled in a 2-year (or more) program which will lead to a career
  • express financial need

Please note: Upgrading students are NOT eligible to apply.

  • have high academic marks

Imperial Order of Daughters of the Empire - Clark House (I.O.D.E.) Bursary

EligibilityApplicants must:

  • have documented financial need
  • be enrolled in the second year of an NBCC program
  • have high academic marks with a probability of graduation
  • have resided in New Brunswick for ten (10) months prior to attending the New Brunswick Community College
