Fredericton

Fredericton is a warm and welcoming city, where the Mayor organizes regular receptions for newcomers to the city. These events provide the opportunity to socialize and find out more about government and non-governmental services for international students. The City of Fredericton website www.fredericton.ca has lots of information on the many events and activities taking place here throughout the year.

One of the services available to international students is the Multicultural Association of Fredericton (MCAF), with offices located a few minutes walk from the College of Craft & Design. The MCAF website provides valuable information related to living here in Fredericton, including information on working while studying: Employment Services. If you’d like to work while attending the College (see ‘Working While Studying’), ask our International Coordinator to make an appointment for you to meet with an employment counsellor at the Multicultural Association. You’ll receive helpful information on how to search for jobs in Canada.
