Bachelor of Applied Arts (BAA)

This unique four-year UNB degree program combines two years of visual arts courses at the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design with two years of traditional liberal arts courses at the University of New Brunswick (UNB).  Normally, for the two years of courses at NBCCD you take the one year Foundation Visual Arts Program (FVA) plus one year of a Diploma in a studio major of your choice.  Choices include:  Aboriginal Visual Arts, Ceramics, Fashion Design, Fibre Arts, Jewellery and Metal Arts, Photography, Graphic Design, Integrated Media or Textiles.

You can start your studies at either institution, or attend the College and UNB in alternate years. The choice is yours. If you’re coming directly from high school, you’ll apply directly to UNB – their application deadline is March 31.  You can also apply to the BAA during or after completing two years of study at NBCCD.
