Who We Are

We’re the only college in Canada that focuses entirely on fine crafts and design.

We’ve done this since 1938.

For the last 30 years, we’ve been part of the New Brunswick Community College system. This year marks our first as a college independent of that system, with our own administration, governance, educational partnerships, financing and diploma-granting abilities.

At the same time, we’ve also been designated a centre of excellence in the arts, and we’ll soon be expanding into the newly-restored Soldier’s Barracks next door.

We’ve signed international agreements in Brazil and China so our students can learn there, and theirs can learn here in Fredericton.

Today, the College has 231 funded seats, with an enrolment of approximately 267 students. Achieving a 115% enrolment target and reflecting the commitment of staff towards increasing its student enrolment in line with its 2011-14 Business Plan.

An astounding 96% of our graduates rate our programs as good or excellent. And exactly the same percentage are employed within 2 years of graduating.

Given all this, it’s little wonder we have one of the best educational experiences in the visual arts. Anywhere.
