Nancy Blanchard-MacDonald, Dipl, BA, BFA

Blanchard-MacDonaldNancy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from NSCAD University, specializing in lithography, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University (English), and Diploma in Fine Craft (Ceramics) from the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design, where she received the College’s highest award to a graduating student. Prior to her work in ceramics, Nancy worked as Curator of Education for 10 years at the Nova Scotia Museum. She has maintained an active ceramics studio in Jemseg, New Brunswick since 1996. Her distinctive, highly decorated pottery is influenced by ceramic folk traditions, a lifelong involvement in watercolour painting and a great interest in natural history. Nancy has taught in the Ceramics studio since 2003.
