
Metalsmith Kristyn Cooper graduated with ‘distinction’ from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in 2008. She has been recognized with such honors as the “Nel Oudemans Award” from the Shelia Hugh MacKay Foundation (2009), “Emerging Artist of the Year” at the 2009 Atlantic Craft Awards for Excellence as well as her inclusion at the Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea (2009).
Cooper is currently employed by the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design as both the technician for the Jewellery/Metal Arts Studio and an instructor for various Continuing Education courses and workshops. In addition to producing one-of-a-kind pieces in metal, she offers a line of limited edition jewellery through select fine-craft galleries.
