Janice Wright Cheney, BFA, MEd, RCA

Janice Wright CheneyJanice holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mount Allison University and a Master’s degree in Education (Critical Studies) from the University of New Brunswick. She has received numerous grants from the New Brunswick Arts Board and The Canada Council for the Arts, and is the 2004 recipient of the Strathbutler Award for Excellence in the Arts. Janice’s textile-based pieces, exploring themes pertaining to natural history and domestic labour, have been  exhibited across North America and are featured in Craft Perception and Practice: A Canadian Discourse, Volume III (2007). She is the Studio Head of Foundation Visual Arts and has been an instructor at New Brunswick College of Craft & Design since 1997.
