Beth Biggs, BFA, BAEd, MFA, RCA

Beth BiggsBeth holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz, a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Education from NSCAD University, and was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 2006. Her jewellery and metal sculpture have been exhibited internationally and she has received awards from the Ontario Crafts Council, the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation, the Canada Council, and the Nunavut Arts Council. She was commissioned by Adrienne Clarkson to produce gifts for Her Majesty the Queen and most recently the Clarkson Cup for women’s hockey. In 2003, she received the Golden Jubilee Metal for contribution to arts education in Nunavut. Beth has taught at NSCAD University and was Senior Instructor, at Nunavut Arctic College, Iqaluit. Beth has taught Jewellery/Metal Arts at the College since 2005.
